2009 was an interesting year, full of change. Lots of learning. Lots of growth.

Housing

in 2009 we moved 4 times!

Work

Martin started working for my parent's in January, then got a job driving truck in June when we moved to Trumansburg. I got my own district in the Southern Tier.

Food

I learned how to cook pancakes just  like my grandma's and I made my first Thanksgiving Dinner for two!

Weddings

I went to 3 weddings in 2009. AND Martin and I celebrated our first anniversary.

Trips

I went to visit friends in Minnesota, Nashville, Boston and Pennsylvania in 2009

Concerts.

Because He Loves Me..

For Christmas, my dear darling husband got me a Kindle! It is so amazing. I basically love absolutely everything about it.

1. It has no glare; it reads just like a book
2. You can highlight and bookmark quotations
3. It has a built-in dictionary.
4. You can download books directly to the Kindle from the Kindle.
5. New York Times Best Sellers are 9.99 and classics are typically $.99!
6. I can now carry 1500 books with me at all times.

Even the User's Manual looks awesome!

And, my honey is so sweet to get it for me. When I found out about the existence of the Kindle earlier this fall, I had mentioned to Martin how amazing they were. He remembered this conversation, but couldn't specifically remember what the item was called. So, he diligently went to a Google search typing in different possibilities like candlewick. Then, when he finally struck gold - he had to set up a new email account in order to purchase the Kindle at Amazon because his old own was deactivated from lack of use.

The Kindle marks Martin's first successful online purchase AND the new object of my attention.

The White Rocks Inn

On December 29, I drove ten hours round trip to attend the Wedding of Amanda and Zach at the White Rocks Inn. AKA, the cutest place ever! I don't know Vermont very well or what there is to do around there. I can tell with you some positivity that it is about 10 miles from Rutland. I can't tell you what there is to do in Rutland. I can also tell you with 100% positivity that there are a lot of cute antique stores all around the area. Anyway, point being, if you're looking for a cute bed and breakfast to go to - go here. While I didn't spend the night,  I know they were very accommodating, providing a three-course breakfast, good conversation and in general were just very pleasant people. The owners, Will, a kiwi from New Zealand, and his wife Lee just recently purchased the place and seem to be doing an excellent job. They host small weddings and elopements there and Lee takes hundreds of amazing pictures to make your day special.

While driving to Vermont, as soon as I crossed over the state border, it was like entering another world! There was so much snow. everywhere. But, it was beautiful.
