Monday evening, horrible disease wiped its way through our apartment. And when I say our apartment, what I really mean is my body. I had been feeling exhausted all weekend and thought it was mostly due to the fact that Aubrey is waking up every three hours on the dot. The kid is like an alarm clock! I was pumped to attempt to get some sleep, so I put Aubrey to bed at 8:00 and then put myself to bed by 8:20.
And then I was up all night long alternating between leaning over the toilet in the bathroom, feeding Aubrey and changing her diaper.
Needless to say, by Tuesday morning - I was completely exhausted. Still sick. And basically feeling like I wanted to die.
Me: I didn't think moms were supposed to get sick. I thought moms took care of sick people.
Dad: Of course they get sick. They just have to work through it.
Thankfully for me, I have an amazing mom who helped me power through the sick. When I got home from work last night my mom offered to continue watching Aubrey for a few hours so I could go home and get some rest. She brought her over to me at 7:40 after bathing her and getting her ready for bed and I couldn't have been more grateful.
