Isn't It Ironic

First of all Happy Birthday Kerri McKenna!! This post is all about you!! Because, well funny stories seem to gravitate around you and I love funny stories. Of course, before we get into the story - its neccesary for some background. Kerri McKenna is a very morally grounded, law-abiding citizen. She's one of the few people I know who waited to turn 21 to drink alcohol.

Well.......almost waited.

Kerri turned 21 on Friday, July 9th. So when we went canoeing on Sunday July 4th she was not legal to drink. But it was a holiday. And she was turning 21 in 5 days, so.....I think we can all agree to let that one slide. So, as we're standing on the side of the road waiting for the entire group to assemble so we can drop our canoes in the water and embark on our canoe trip - most people were enjoying a cold beverage. Even Kerri had decided to crack one open. It was right about this time that a sheriff pulls up right next to Kerri and gets out of his car to tell everyone this is completely unacceptable behavior and get off the road. While the cop didn't ID anyone or make any reference to the mass amounts of alcohol being consumed on the street - I could feel the hairs on Kerri's back stand up and hear her breath stop as she quickly tried to hide her beer under a car. Her illegally consumed beer just 5 days before legality!
